Biography MJ

Mike Willer – born 1980 - is a true bedroom DJ, who took all the time he needed to develop his DJ craftsmanship. He produced more than 50 live DJ mixes before he started playing for small crowds and he developed a growing following while doing so. Today this worldwide following is enjoying his unique track selection and smooth mixing via the Che Voyeur podcast on www.superposition.nl.

Superposition is the name of the DJ Duo of Mike and his brother Patrick. The name indicates the tight relation and affinity for music. Superposition is in quantum physics one particle that is at two different locations at once. Superposition MJ stands for Michael John, which is Mike’s full name. But it also stands for a unique style of upfront modern day funky electronic dance music.

Mike played quite some gigs in the beginning of this century. Most of them are in the Netherlands in club such as Bootleg DJ café, Prachtig, Nighttown, and much more. One of the most memorable gigs was back in 2002 when he played a 3-hour set in Nighttown, which was the number one dance-club in the Netherlands at that time. A well-balanced uplifting journey drove the enthusiastic crowd to madness and jumping collectively in the last hour.

If you want to experience that feeling, you have to travel to the Caribbean. Mike recently moved to Aruba and he brought some sexy dance tunes with him and the party people from Aruba seem to like it. And to stay on par with today’s fast changing music industry Superposition is also using Ableton live to edit tracks and use it in the live mix as well. Check Podcast #001 ‘Tailsucker’ and you can only conclude that Aruba is in for a treat.

To be continued…
